Established in the mid-1990's as Fossil Data Inc, we provide our customers with high quality validated data. Unlike some providers that download massive amounts of data and "repackage" without validation, we prefer a more hands on approach limited to a number of specific areas and delivering data you can be sure has the highest probability of being accurate. Our major focus is on wholesale power sales available from a number of publicly available sources. We encourage you to request a free sample of any of our products. Below are several examples of some of the data available in our Quarterly Power Marketer sales notebook.

Wind generation in the deregulated market during Q4 2011 continued to show large year-over-year increases, up about 22% from about 22.5 million mwh in Q4 2010 to over 27.5 million mwh in Q4 2011. Deregulated wind generation accounted for over 82% of all wind generation in the United States during Q4 2011 and just under 83% during all of 2011. Detailed data on Q4 2011 and 2011 annual power sales is now available. Data includes total mwh sales rankings as well as details on sales by NERC/RTO region, sales by hub/control area or larger non-hub delivery point or iso zone plus complete wind generator rankings for deregulated entities. Data is based on a variety of sources and includes sales for each entity by affiliate. For generator data (wind, gas, coal, etc..) included in the data set - provides mwh and pricing data (where available) by hub and NERC/RTO region, capacity/capacity factor for each facility and in many cases long-term contract expiration date/customer name. Statistics are presented on a quarter-by quarter basis as well as for the entire year.
